Growing up by the ocean in Southern California, she spent six years working as an ocean lifeguard and junior lifeguard instructor, and competed in both water polo and softball. Paige also taught swim lessons and served as a supervisor for the CASC (formerly Swim America) lessons program. In addition to coaching, Paige is a third grade teacher in Natrona County School District. She believes that swimming is not just a sport, but it is a vital life skill that opens doors to new opportunities and confidence - in and out of the water.
John Arross
Coach
Coach John has competed at the age group, high school, college and masters levels. He has held state records in breast stroke at both the high school and age group levels. He has coached age group swimming for over 10 years, with many of his swimmers winning championships and setting state records, as well as qualifying for senior sectional, zone and national championships. More importantly, his swimmers have gone on to become doctors, nurses, biotechnology engineers, business owners and a wide variety of other high-achievement professionals. Coach Arross believes that achievement in swimming takes many forms, and not all of them are related to swimming fast. Swimming fosters many life skills which carry over to achievement outside of the pool. Learning how to accomplish goals through discipline, effort, study and attention to detail creates confidence and a sense of self worth. This translates into a better ability to take on life’s challenges. Coach Arross's core philosophy is that “attitude determines outcome” (his favorite catch phrase). His focus is on technique and injury prevention, which are core to swimming fast and enjoying the sport he loves. Learning good technique allows hard training to translate into fast swimming.

Our Practice Philosophy
At Swim 5150, we believe swimming should help kids grow, not limit their opportunities. While athletes are welcome to attend up to four practices per week, we recommend two practices per week for most swimmers. This schedule allows athletes to make steady progress in the pool while leaving time for other sports, hobbies, and family activities.
We value the benefits of multi-sport participation: developing well-rounded athletes, reducing burnout, and building a love for movement that lasts a lifetime. Our program is designed so that even with two practices a week, swimmers continue to improve their skills, strength, and confidence in the water.
By balancing swimming with other passions, our athletes become not only faster swimmers but also more versatile, resilient, and happy kids.
